Each year, the Festival of NewMR represents a global cross-section of market research experts in a week-long online conference format. With times and sessions to work for every time zone, this unique series of webinars covers everything from new technology and predictions for the future to key industry themes like user experience and privacy.
We are participating in the "Technology in Action" webinar, being held on Wednesday, March 18th at 11am EDT. This panel discussion will cover what is happening, where are things going, what should people look out for in the market research space. Our CMO and co-founder Paul Neto will join fellow panelists: Ray Poynter, Potentiate; Eileen Campbell, Reid Campbell Group; Mike Stevens, What Next Strategy & Planning; and Priscilla McKinney, Little Bird Marketing for an hour-long session.
Specifically, Paul plans to answer the pressing question: "Did we replace quality and trust for speed and price?" While automation and marketplaces have made research more agile and cost effective, we are seeing an all-time low in trust in the industry, declining data quality, and all at the expense of the respondent. Meanwhile, regulatory pressures and privacy sensitivity are adding new threats to the relationship with respondents. Paul will dive into ways that we can we utilize technologies like blockchain and others to help course-correct the race to the bottom and establish more accountability and transparency.
The session is free, and you can register easily on the NewMR site here. Make sure to check out the rest of the week's event on the Festival's main webpage, and participate in some virtual education!
